Review on πŸ€ Clover Spry Daily Respiratory and Ocular Support Soft Chews for Cats - Boost Immune System with L-Lysine, Superfoods, and Prebiotics by Crystal Ford

Revainrating 4 out of 5

All Natural L-Lysine Supplement. Without meat by-products. Be patient.

My friend and I have a 10 year old cat who has had chronic respiratory problems since childhood. We were told that he had allergies and asthma. He tested negative for all viral infections in cats. There is little we can do except rid the house of dust and cigarette smoke. I also try to run a humidifier in the places where he spends most of his time. My kitten is long haired and half Maine Coon so is tall and has lots of fur that can catch allergens. The poor fellow sneezes constantly and his eyes are often dry. I was desperate, constantly wiping walls, floors, furniture, etc. of his "snot". I'm sure anyone who has a cat with this problem can understand. It's hard to keep up. I feel so sorry for the big one. Our vet recommended giving him L-lysine as a supplement. Fluids must be administered forcefully. He's not the type to chew pills. This is an older cat that prefers soft food and is missing some teeth. He also doesn't usually eat crunchy treats. I searched a lot and found In Clover's Spry Treats http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00IPILZEO?redirect=true&ref_=cm_cr_ryp_prd_ttl_sol_4. These seemed to fit. They've got the L-lysine we've been looking for, and they're all natural and meat by-product free. This pack contains about 60 treats and lasted about a month if he got 2 treats a day. He was a bit hesitant at first so I mixed them in with his regular treats. Now he eats them with no problem. It wasn't a miracle cure or a quick fix, but they help. After about 2 weeks there was some improvement. At first I noticed less discharge from his eyes. He seemed to sneeze less. A month later, a difference in the amount of nasal discharge was noticed. The sneezing continues. I will continue to feed him these treats and hope he continues to get better. I don't expect it to cure him, but they've proven helpful. All I can say is be patient. Just like in humans, "vitamins" don't work overnight. These treats are inexpensive. If they help your FurBaby even a little, they're worth it. If my kitty keeps improving I will upgrade to 5 stars.
