Review on Aurifil Quilting Thread 50wt: Perfect for Stonewashed Denim Projects by Kelsey Brown

This was the FIRST time I used this 100% cotton thread on my embroidery machine. I love it. Because it's 100% cotton, I can use it to embroider patterns on hot pads, microwave potato bags, etc. What I also like is that the label on the bottom of the spool has a round perforated area for the spool to sit on the line holder. I've encountered poking or cutting a hole in the bottom of other brands, a sticky pain because bits of paper can stick to my scissors or the metal I'm using. Not so with this spool, the perforated label makes it easy: you simply insert the middle paper with your finger and the spool can be placed on the spool holder. Another plus is how easy it is to start the initial unwinding after removing the cling film. See attached photos of the underside of the spool before I pressed it in the center with my finger!
