After two days, the bottom of the humidifier began to leak

The device works well right out of the box. No noise issues, sleep mode turns off the LED lights, easy to clean. However, after two days I refilled the device via the base and then switched it on again. The device made the usual gurgling noises and then began leaking out the back of the humidifier's main body just above the aroma bowl. I suspect that one of the low water protection floats has failed. However, after two days of flawless operation, the device should not fail. I couldn't figure out what happened to cause this and am considering a different moisturizer.
