It's a good speaker when it works. One of the side speakers broke just after the warranty expired, so you already know what's going on. It sounded really good while it was running, but lacked water resistance and could have done better at high frequencies for the price. The battery was "ok", at maximum volume it would no longer be sufficient for a decent barbecue evening and the proprietary charger unfortunately means that you have to lug around an additional cable. The bass is punchy, if a bit more powerful, and the speaker wasn't stable at max volume so it moves around a lot and if you leave it unattended it's likely to fall off the table.
