I found it very difficult for my right hand to hold the switch in manual mode as there just weren't enough items to fit my hand to fill and feel them firmly grip the device. I am convinced that Nintendo believes that only people with very small children's hands will play with a joystick (connected or disconnected) and everyone else will play with a suitable controller. I have very small hands and still had problems. This article mostly solves this problem. Gives me more objects to grab. My arm still feels tight from time to time, but not nearly as much as without this case. The only downside is that you have to remove the case if you want to detach the joystick. It's not that hard since I play in handheld mode 90% of the time and the case is very easy to take off and put back on, but it would be nice if there was an easy way to turn the joycon on and off without this would require removing the casing.
