Review on Get Ready For Adventure With GOOACC 32 Inch Off Road Led Light Bar - Spot Flood Combo For Trucks, Jeeps, ATVs, And SUVs by Aaron Jones

Fair price for mid-sized ‘spot & flood’ light bar, easy to install & versatile

ITEM: GOOACC LED Light Bar 32-inch 180-watt flat (not curved)PRICE: $ 59.39 (price when reviewed 09 05 22)The GOOACC LED Light Bar, 32-inches wide and optimally delivering 180-watts at 12-vdc or 24-vdc, has flood light LEDs at each end of the light bar, with a long mid-section filled with spotlight focused LEDs. The combination, even in a 32-inch long flat layout, is enough to take a pitch black landscape and turn it into a very visible image. And after looking at the many Walmart comparable light bar kits, I sensed that this GooAcc item was actually very well priced. The bar is an on-or-off system. You won’t be able to selectively illuminate only the floods on the sides or the spotlight LEDs independently in the middle. But given the price and knowing I’ll be needing all the light I can generate, this model light bar will be just what I needed for my freshwater fishing boat or as a quick-install auxiliary light on my work van.The wiring….Similar to the GooAcc 42-inch, 240-watt curved light bar I have, the wiring harness comes pre-assembled with disconnect points where you’ll need them. You’ll see if you lay the wiring harness on the floor or table, that the common connection point is the ‘relay.’ The fused battery power line from the battery goes to the center of the relay. The cabin-power-switch line to one side and the output power going to the light bar on the other side of the relay. I should add that it’s pretty much ‘ready for install with spade-clip connectors on the lights power line, a proprietary disconnect for the switch line and brass rings for connecting the battery lines. And as with most installs, you can also figure out that the relay and the fused battery line will be ‘under hood mounted.’My opinion….As a straight forward, all-on or all-off 32” light bar, the pricing and the utility are a perfect fit for either my 20-ft or 12-ft fresh water fishing boats. And I could also use it for my van as a rear-facing auxiliary light. I’m planning on using the 42” curved GooAcc light bar ‘facing forward.’ Working with and testing the larger sized GooAcc light bar helped me appreciate this smaller light bar. While sometimes larger is better, for short term lighting when my small craft power is a pair of marine batteries with a small gas generator, this light bar will be a very appropriate launching, retrailering and emergency light source.

Pros
  • Automotive
Cons
  • The light bar might be too expensive to maintain or repair
