God what a mess. I washed navy blue and purple together and in the washing machine purple fell into huge clumps of fluff. Marine is also a barn, but in smaller pieces. After drying, some large fibers came loose in the dryer while smaller ones got caught in the knots of the terry towel. I bought an absolutely gorgeous set of four striped towels a few years ago so I figured this might be this year's version. But no, they are far from the same. The originals were wonderfully soft terry cloth and didn't shed at all. These were great thick oversized towels that we love and have held up great, they are still like new after many many uses. However, it's a mess. Terrycloth is prickly terrycloth, but I could live with that. This mess with fluff annoyed me. Everyone who uses them will get fluffy covered. Let's hope they will continue to wear out over time if they continue to be washed and dried. I only washed the gray and red separately and they were very fluffy too. My advice is nice, thick towels that don't feel plush but are still doable. So, if you don't mind fluff, they might go away after a while. And I hope they don't do that every time I wash them. I'll live with them but god oh god I wish they were as great as the first ones I bought here on Revane.
