Worked well: Ignition lamps
There aren't many cars with variable valve timing these days, but sometimes you need an antique lamp. This cheap Chinese block doesn't compare at all to the polished aluminum snap-on block my dad had in the garage, but it worked well enough to set the ignition timing on this old Nissan Z31, so I'm happy. It doesn't really matter if it ever works again.
