Great puzzle mat, no minor twisting problems

I just returned to the puzzles and immediately realized that something is needed to make the process of assembling the puzzle smoother. The dining table, which is the perfect size for me, got a little too dirty from the "dirt" of the puzzle, plus it was a bit slippery for the piecework. Next, I tried a large bath towel. It was perfect in terms of "gripping" but certainly lumpy (no matter how many times I smoothed it). So I finally broke down and settled on the "official" puzzle mat. I went for it even though I didn't really need a newfangled inflatable roll up. Since I live alone, I can leave the puzzle alone and not worry as much as I would like. But I liked the ability to move it and I liked the design of the rug and its size. I was a bit disgusted that the rug turned out to be "twisted" at the ends. It never evened itself out either. Sigh. I assume this happens every time I roll it up and put it away. This was the only flaw I found with the mat (but enough to move it from 5 to 4 stars - have to do it every time). Otherwise the mat is perfect. The surface grips the parts and immobilizes them. The size is more than enough for a standard 1000 piece jigsaw puzzle with room for more space. I assembled most of the puzzle on what ran down the edges, but the mat held most of the puzzle so tight and stable that there were no marks. edge break. This pup will bring great satisfaction and happiness to your standard puzzle mat needs. I can't speak for the folding feature, but I might try it someday just for novelty.
