You definitely don't engrave with it.
This thing is a complete joke. In the highest position, it can be easily stopped with your fingers. Don't plan on engraving, once you touch something with the tip it will just stop. I was able to engrave the plastic a bit, but still not strong enough to be a complete pain. This thing is only good if you want to polish your nails. The tool isn't cordless either, although it looks like it should be, and the cord is only about 2 feet long. Ridiculous. The only reason this might be useful is the bits.
