Review on 🔧 Enhanced Performance Rugged Ridge 17401.21 Black Aluminum Valve Cover Kit by Tim Sterling

Bought used/like new not brand new. The valve cover was in new condition. It has never been installed. The valve cover has good coloring and was flat as expected. That looks great. Some of the holes were offset 1/32-1/16 and I had to ream holes to make them larger. The product itself was good and just what I expected. A slight deviation of the holes didn't make much of a difference. This is a product aimed at models of several years, so it is not surprising that they have deviated somewhat. I suggest using hex head bolts for the driver's side and a rear hole. Because there is not enough room on the valve cover for a bushing to properly mount the hex bolts. There was plenty of room for a nest in the front opening and openings on the passenger side. I used the fel pro VS50244R gasket, not the one that came with the kit. It didn't need an RTV and works better than a cork gasket. Holes were already punched in my head so I didn't have to deal with this issue. I am not suggesting buying a used product. Although the valve cover was in good condition and the cork gasket was already taped in place and I had to remove it, my product did not come with any of the bolts and it was difficult to find the right length. The product used was 3 stars. But the valve cover itself is what I expected and I would do it, but again. But pay extra money for a new one.
