I have to say that as someone who is constantly frustrated with technology, I am pleasantly surprised at the level of features and overall quality of this device. To be honest the unit is a bit overkill as I was just looking for an upgrade to my base 2010 Ford Transit radio. But at this price point, the extra cake and future guarantee these bells and whistles offer made the purchase a breeze. This thing does a lot. Cameras, GPS, USB and amplifiers are only part of the story; If you install it as an upgrade to a higher quality factory device, you'll be happy. Replacing my old AM/FM was like tying a rocket to a cab. The mic for the phone is built in, and it's a heck of a lot clearer than the helicopter pilot-style headset I was struggling with while driving. A few things to know: No instructions are included. Do not worry; If wiring and wiring installation skills are outside of your comfort zone, the email customer support was amazing. "Jackie" (who actually contacted me first) answered all questions by the next morning. My suggestion is to get answers to your questions before you start installing. Also, purchase a harness-to-harness kit to pair your existing in-car stereo/player with this unit. I used this exact kit to connect the Ford wiring harness and it saved me tons of time. I was able to solder and shrink the nicely labeled wires from the binize block to the secondary "bridge" harness in about twenty minutes. These belts usually cost around twenty dollars, and you can find them all over Revane. Spend money. you will thank me As far as nuts and bolts go, fine. this may require some planning. While it's not a Tesla-sized touchscreen, it's a BIG device. On the plus side, it's very small and light (think the size and weight of the iPad). After trying many mounts and mounts, including the rather flimsy kits that were included, I used glue (Permatex Ultra Black, available at most auto parts stores) to secure the unit in a 2-DIN (two panels high) dash attach. Not really. The back of the unit rests comfortably in the hole left by an old Ford radio, and the adhesive, which once dry could probably glue a live animal to the wall, only prevents the unit from tipping out of space. play with him for the next few days; The basic functions I need (hands-free and the ability to play my favorite songs from my Samsung S20, via Tune-In, Spotify etc., via Bluetooth, via truck speakers) are already there. The secondary wiring harnesses that came with the unit with all the options to add and connect rear cameras, external amps, subwoofers and two extra USB ports are calling me. I'll call the GPS later; I was planning on using my phone for this anyway and to be honest the included antenna cable isn't long enough to mount the device anywhere on the dash or windshield. I am very happy with the device. This is my work truck and now the hours I spend in it become a lot more interesting. Currently. Where can I place the subwoofer? ; -)
