I caved to the pressure of conformity and bought these cans. It was mentioned that the soundproofing in this building is excellent. Hence, the noise isolation is about the same as with other headphones in this price range. Its intended use of the subway makes listening impossible, but it was purchased for that purpose. Maybe if you listen to all sorts of teen garbage - fooling - at maximum volume it will work, but as someone who prefers jazz-rock, I'm left feeling let down. It found out that the speaker and inserts are a universally compatible size that could be used with any headphones.
