I mounted this camera vertically on the back of a truck and pointed it down. BUT this camera is not facing down, the image you get on the screen is upside down and there is no way to mirror the image with the camera. Maybe you can do this through your car's screen BUT you can't do it with the camera, it's a fixed picture with no settings. With other cameras, you can reverse the image by cutting the cable on the camera itself, but not on this one. I haven't used the camera long enough to get a good grasp of the image quality or night vision capabilities of this camera. Just so you know, it's not a very good camera for looking down vertically from the trunk, for example.
