Review on Uni Fi Floorstanding Speaker Finished Cabinet by Kristina Scott

These Andrew Jones Towers with their concentric Uni-Fi drivers are simply superb. In my search for new speakers, I listened to five different speaker sets at home over a period of three months. Among them were the Monitor Audio Silver 8 and the KEF R500, both very famous speakers that cost a lot more than these. The cost of MA is double and the value of KEF is two and a half times. I really wanted to leave either MA or KEF because of their feedback. However, when I heard them side by side at home, the ELAC UF5s were the obvious choice. The KEF R500s sounded very similar to these, which is not surprising as KEF uses Uni-Q concentric drivers, which Andrew Jones was instrumental in developing. These ELACs are so collected, detailed and beautiful. They have a wonderful roundness and balance where nothing is enhanced and nothing suppressed. The speakers just disappear. I can listen to music for hours without listening fatigue. Highly recommended!
