At this price, there should be a cassette memory, right?
Tape probably decent quality but can't comment on durability as I just received it. I figured I'd order premium tapes which contain the cassette memory recommended by Sony for my new 3CCD camcorder. These tapes have no cassette memory. It turns out I don't need this feature as I've learned the hard way not to use the camcorder for anything other than recording and then uploading the files to disk for later editing in Adobe Premier. (Use tape drives on camcorders for unusual edits or re-viewing at your own risk for the camera. I just threw away my Canon GL2 because the drive mechanism froze.)
