I ordered these gaiters for hiking on dusty gravel paths and single trails in sneakers. They work very well. With a little experimentation to figure out which laces to hook into to get good wrap and velcro alignment, I can attach and wrap these gaiters in just a few seconds. My boots don't have much tread and no toe-to-heel groove, so I was concerned that the laces running under the arch of the foot would feel obtrusive. It turns out I only feel this when I'm at home on a very slippery floor; I never feel it when walking, not even on the sidewalk. The cable sometimes slips if I scrape the soles on the floor too hard, but that's pretty rare and can be fixed in a jiffy. I recommend.
