From the beginning everything was different in this Bodum; the glass dangled in the frame and the butt was difficult to move. We have two smaller Bodums, a couple of Bialettis and a regular Cusinart electric coffee maker and use them all. So it took a while before I used it a couple of times and noticed that the frame was deformed - one leg wasn't bent into the leg so the glass hung down while its spout was at the top of the frame, and also to see , that the spring in the flask did not go through the perforation completely - its tail stretches inside the glass. I have used Bodums and other French presses for decades and will continue to do so, but this one is a lemon!
