Wash before playing

After opening we noticed that the parts are covered in sand/dirt? Many pieces also looked like they were covered in glitter. My only guess is that it is scrap metal from a block cutting machine. "Shine” mostly on curved edges. I'll throw them in the bath and disinfect them before the game. It's just stunning how gritty they were and makes you wonder about the environment in which they were created.
