I love how cheap it is (although I paid a more expensive seller for faster shipping when I needed a fast cheap printer for school)! You can buy it for less than $30 which is great. It arrived very quickly, as ordered. Performance Rating: Pros: FAST! It prints really fast when it's on, and it's so easy because it has few input options. (I'm used to the HP C3100 photocopy/scan/all-in-one printer). It has power saving and ink saving features. This. My other just prints a test page every time you turn it on or off. So I usually leave it on until I figure out that you can quickly click Cancel to avoid printing an extra page. However, the 1000 series is perfect: turn it on and it won't do anything you don't tell it to do. It was a quick install. Remember to order this cable! (I have, and it was about $4.50 on Amazon.) The ink is a 61/2 cartridge, which is fairly common for cartridges. So if you've had a printer before, you may have compatible cartridges. It comes with an XL cartridge or a higher capacity cartridge! Wow what a deal! Some of these cartridges cost as much as this printer (and only its free cartridges)! It's light and small and probably won't break as easily as a 3-in-1 with that glass inside. Nice, simple device. I would buy again in a pinch if I just needed a printer. This is a great backup and quick print job for students. The print also looks very good. It may have an auto power off feature, I couldn't tell if that was the case or the issue below where I accidentally turned it off when printing double sided pages manually. Cons: You can't just do this. 2-sided printouts. It takes a lot longer, but I usually do it when I have the time. It's tedious manual work and the reason is that there isn't even an option in the printer drivers. It is attractive to little kids who love it. When doing manual duplex printing, I put my hand on the power button, which of course turns the printer off. For some reason there is sometimes a delay before printing or between prints (double sided only, that's all I noticed). Bottom Line: This is a very handy product and it can be purchased, but you may need another option to help with other things you need to do such as: B. Copying and scanning. UPDATE 7/9/13: I found in the driver where even/odd pages are printed. This will greatly improve my printer usage and raise the printer to 6 stars. :-) I love it.
