Ideal hard drive for OS updates in older PCs

Attached CrystalDiskMark - decent performance for the current price of $21. Doesn't outperform high-performance SSDs, but at a much lower price. Question to the vendor: I want to install one on an early SATA II PC (used daily) that does NOT have an AHCI (and therefore no native TRIM). Support). I understand it will be limited to &lt;300MB/s but I'm concerned about further performance and reliability degradation over time due to lack of TRIM NCQ etc.
