Review on Enhanced xtava Pro Satin Infrared Flat Iron featuring Tourmaline Ceramic Plates by Sabrina Moore

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Frustrated with the control buttons? Read it!

I was looking for a 1 inch iron but after reading many reviews I decided to try the Xtava 2 inch infrared iron instead. I continue to use the same hair products and Xtava straightens my hair in the same or slightly less time than my current straightener. I like that it doesn't smell like fried hair! I hope that the infrared radiation will repair the damage left by previous irons. The time it takes to heat up isn't the fastest I've seen, but it's more than enough. I had time to part my hair and the flat iron finished before me. A retractable lock is located near the cord to allow the panels to be opened wider. Locate the ribbed part on top of the device next to the cable. Press down lightly on the plates and use your thumb to slide the ribbed part back toward the cable. The button layout is very similar to the Remington iron. When the iron is on, quickly press the on/off button twice and a small lock icon will appear on the digital display below the Fahrenheit symbol. If the lock icon is visible, you cannot change the temperature or turn it off by accidentally pressing the buttons. To unlock, quickly press the power button twice and the lock icon will disappear. Long cord is good. I don't have to worry about the cord getting tangled around the corner of the counter and I don't get caught in a small spot because the longer cord gives me more freedom of movement. The contents of the box contained warranty information. There was no user manual that could provide information on the above points and answer many of the frustrations expressed here by the reviewers. Overall I think this iron is a great value. I hope Xtava plans to make a 1 inch infrared iron. This is a product that I would be very interested in!
