It differed from the original motor in every way. The engine is larger (probably more powerful and/or more durable). The hole that goes through the post had to be drilled 1/2" and the mounting screws are further apart so new holes had to be drilled as well. The cable clamps were also different so it was necessary to use cable clamps (not included) to connect the motor. I used a small zip tie to secure the wires to the mount after verifying that it worked. It's louder but definitely moves more air than the previous engine. If you have the tools to install this fan and the skills, it's a good value. I spent over an hour modifying the mount to get the motor fit. It includes a new fan blade and durable wires.
