Very powerful motor

I use this for my bathroom exhaust fan on wheels. The motor and fan are so powerful that they blow air back into the house. I will most likely replace it with a 24 inch bathroom fan that spins slower.

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • Protection

Make sure the dimensions match the mount.

Works great. However, some changes need to be made. The bracket that holds the motor doesn't hold it, and the holes that it mounts in are in the wrong place. There are no screws to attach the motor to the bracket.

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Hard to say

Terribly loud on HVAC

The original we received was terribly loud so we requested a replacement. The second product was different from the first; The motor was bigger, the breaker clicked even louder, and the wedges didn't hold the fan blade to the motor. All this rendered the fan completely unusable. Despite the easy installation, it was a waste of time and money.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Will do

Assuming propellers interfere with the motor

First, the motor is twice the size of the original motor. did well. Then, after all this work, use the bolts, as the ones from the old motor are two small ones, they are long enough to block the motor when tightened. Well, shoot. So I loosen them and the motor spins, but now with a howling sound (I tested the motor before and it was very quiet). I had to cut two threads on the bolts to screw the motor to the bracket without binding the motor, but now it makes a nice annoying howl. I can't…

Pros
  • Stable test results
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model

Powerful fan motor is good for ventilation

It differed from the original engine in every way. The engine is larger (probably more powerful and/or more durable). The hole that goes through the post had to be drilled 1/2" and the mounting screws are further apart so new holes had to be drilled as well. The cable clamps were also different so it was necessary to use cable clamps (not included) to connect the motor. I used a small zip tie to secure the wires to the mount after verifying that it worked. It's louder but definitely moves more…

Pros
  • All right!
Cons
  • Expensive
