The color difference between rose and yellow gold is hardly noticeable, at least for the set I bought. They both look like yellow gold except for the brightest light. So you will be disappointed if you hope the gold is as clear as online pictures. On my second photo you can see that they look almost the same: unfortunately this is not my camera. All other colors (Blue, Rainbow, Silver, Black) are accurately represented in the online images. Like her size, only 1-1/2 inches long. The blue ones are hard to find so I bought them. That and... I'm something of a safety pin earring junkie. I have 7 piercings in my ears; At least one of these piercings has a 24/365 safety pin. (They're also a great alternative to sleep hoops.) My issue with this set is the proportions: the top loop is too big. As a result, the pen sits oddly in the ear. Most of my other needle earrings have scaled down this part a bit so they don't sit crooked in the ear. I prefer mine to hang vertically rather than pointing inward towards the face like these do. Basically, you don't have to copy a real safety pin exactly to get good safety pin earrings, you have to modify it a bit. For comparison, my last 2 photos show the difference in hinge sizes (2 on the left, by Rachel Roy, have smaller hinges; the gold one on the right is from this set). Of course, it's *my* personal preference that they don't tilt towards my face / rotate horizontally at all. So mileage varies and of course everyone's piercings are different. If you're looking for a more outlandish punk style, these are for you. The metal is flexible enough that you can play around with it and try to compress it more vertically... but there's really not much you can do about the interference of a loop that's too big. I keep them because of the very modest price, the quality is not bad (and because returning body jewelry seems wrong). Anyone with uncomfortable metal sensitivities knows that universal "hypoallergenicβ promises like these claims don't really mean anything in any unstamped material. They're cheap because they're cheap. I soak mine in 99% alcohol because I react to the industrial lubricants that cover almost all commercially imported jewelry. They come with a large black velvet pouch, suitable for gift giving. I can't give half a star but it's 3.5 in my book.
