(updated) I have several smaller 8GB and Samsung 32GB flash drives that are pretty fast, but this one isn't. You should be aware that there are different types of memory chips and there is a reason this one is cheap for the 128GB capacity. I had to move several large folders of music files to my MacBook. The progress window jumps from 10 to 46 minutes for 25GB files. It starts up quickly, then just freezes, then keeps copying and freezes again, takes forever. I reformatted the flash drive to Mac OS Extended (Journaled) format and turned off the spotlight to try and index the files as they're being copied, no help. The activity monitor shows a write speed of 8-24 MB/s, which is not very good. It hardly does the job.
