I've been using this Norpro scoop for about a week. Unlike some other mesh brewers I've tried in the past, this one leaves very few floating chunks in my tea (and I often drink tea with smaller chunks like mate). I also like the idea that I can either dip the bead in the cup or use the indentation in the center of the spoon to place the tea infuser on top of the cup. What I don't like about this brewer is that the bead is so small. . Not only does this make it difficult to pour the tea into the infuser (without spilling anything on the counter), but it also compresses the tea leaves (which often means I have to steep a minute or two longer than it would take me to receive the full taste). ). I also agree with another reviewer that the latch that closes the ball is weak. I've never had a case of the tea falling out or the bar splitting open while brewing, but I'm concerned that this will happen if the bar gets a bit loose. Tea. I just wish the ball was bigger and the bolt stronger.
