While I wouldn't recommend these shoes for running or long hikes, they are great for 1-2 mile walks, errands, or walking the dog. My biggest concern right now is making my plantar fasciitis worse and they are ridiculously gentle on my heels. A thick profile on the sole extends the life of the shoe. The upper is tight and comfortable (and cool, too). There is little to no arch support or padding at the ball of the foot so my feet get tired of it. A good, comfortable shoe for the price. As long as you don't need them for something sophisticated, these are great little casual shoes.
