I had to turn off the gas stoves in my apartment building due to a leak. The tenants were told it would be 4-5 weeks for the repairmen to inspect the entire building and get the repairs approved by the city, so the landlord agreed to reimburse the cost of the stove or toaster for each apartment. After looking at several options I settled on this one as both burners were the same size. Other options in a similar price range had a large burner and a small burner. I am very happy with this purchase. It heats up very quickly and is easy to clean. As with any electric stove, it's difficult to gauge the temperature once you're using it, so expect something to burn. Or maybe it's because the dials that regulate the temperature are very sensitive, so they can easily get overheated. In any case, you will quickly learn to determine the temperature and cooking will turn out fine. I'm not a fan of electric versus gas ranges, but it worked in a pinch.
