My favorite way of using them (and I have four now) is to use them as leaf scoops. It's as simple as moving a bunch of leaves into a barrel or trash can with a scoop in each hand and using them together to grab a giant handful. If, like me, you compost your leaves, you need a quick way to pick them up and transfer them to what you use to toss in the bin. Whether you grind them up first (easily with a lawnmower) or just use the whole leaves for the mold, using two shovels as handles (tongs, tongs) gets the job done quickly. I started with a shovel a few years ago and liked it so much that I bought another to make a pair and then another pair for my grandson so we could do the leaf work quickly. They will probably last forever.
