This is a good inexpensive option that will work well for most people if you use it as directed. I had unusually dirty old records with decades of smoke and other dirt on them. I don't know if they have ever seen water in their life. I had to run them several times before I was happy with the results. They say one dose of distilled water/dishwashing liquid can clean 25 records, but I've had to change it a lot more often. If you have fairly messy records, be prepared for multiple water changes and multiple passes. I'm doing a maintenance clean now and I'm getting close to the claimed 25 records per batch. Failure to use distilled water or overdoing the batch can leave residue as the records dry. This is probably the cleanest you'll get unless you're using an ultrasonic or vacuum system. The device is well designed and the stand fits right into the device when not in use. The lid closes well between uses. The terry towel initially only sheds the lint. After a wash everything is fine. Another microfiber cloth also worked well. The only way it could be better is if it spins the record for you, but if it did it wouldn't be in this price range.
