Received this on September 20, 2021 and it works much better than expected
It doesn't get hot but my neck is sweaty. I can't explain how it keeps you warm, but it definitely feels warm and my neck is warmer than the rest when I take it off after wearing it. This is listed as one size, I have a large neck (19.5 inches) and it barely fits. It's not exactly uncomfortable, but it's not exactly comfortable either because it can't be further adjusted.
