Requires mounting length long enough for corner. I hung it on a bobby pin 16 inches from the corner. My LG TV is 43 inches. Installation was easy. You need a level. Dornfinder. Pencil. Set of sockets. Drill. And an impact wrench. These are locking bolts. You can do it manually, but it won't be easy. I kept the level next to the bracket above the spike finder. Marked my holes. drilled. Slightly loosen the middle screw. Check its level. Tighten it. Then put the other 2. It's easy. The range of 28 inches is accurate. feels strong
