The design of the device is decent, but the bristles are almost the same as those you use to clean the toilet and are too hard for my feet. I am a type 1 diabetic and at the outset you are told that foot care is vital, it plays a big part in my evaluation of the device, for others it may not matter. Diabetics with nerve damage or neuropathy in their feet are probably best not to buy this, but I cannot speak for all diabetics and the decision can be made on a case-by-case basis. I would suggest manufacturers offer something with less abrasive bristles for people like me as there is a need and market for such a device. This is based on my opinion and I'm sure there are other people out there who find this device handy and functional to their liking.
