Update: I bought an Apple adapter to try before sending it back and it worked with the HDMI cable that came with it . My son can now play Netflix. Unfortunately, the Apple adapter costs $54 compared to a third-party adapter for less than $20. 1st Review: This is what it is, a cheap little projector. Bought as a gift for my son and upon testing if it worked we found we couldn't get it to work with the switch to HDMI to play Netflix from the phone. Tried the HDCP cable and still no luck. It plays videos from Amazon, YouTubeTV but not Netflix. If you don't think you'll ever use an iPhone to play Netflix, this is a decent cheap projector. There's nothing special about the sound, maybe try a bluetooth speaker with your phone.
