The price was right, so I decided to buy a second backup drive. In short: too slow. With my 2 year old drive I copy files at just over 100MB/s, but with this one (same cable, same port, same computer) I'm an average of 17MB/s or about 600% slower. As for looks: ah. The tinted brushed aluminum is quite nice, but the plastic body is very cheap. Not the main thing, but something worth paying attention to. Conclusion: I cannot recommend this disc. I'll either keep it as a backup or return it and get a drive that actually works as it's speed is unacceptable.
