Great price and great set. However, there are several issues and reasons for 4 stars instead of 5. The surge protector that contains it has a serious problem and requires contacting the excellent support team at flexpetz.com. The quick connectors on the surge protector are junk and don't hold the wires well, so much so that I called and got a replacement because it had a bad connection. The swap works now, but the quick connectors aren't well made and if you even bump the wires, they'll come loose and make a beeping noise. I ended up taking apart the defective/replaced one and found a defect in the connectors and I will be soldering the wires to the connectors internally to keep them safe in the future. The second question is about the documentation, while overall it's pretty good, they do mention a few websites dealing with extreme dog fences that were unreliable at the time but have resurfaced as of the time of writing this article. In any case, the best site for support is Flexpetz, which appears to be their parent company. Let's get to the good. Amazing kit for the price, we spent almost $2200 on an invisible fence to install the same one we got here for $300. The amount of wire was perfect for my 3 acre lot, but I recommend doing more stakes as 10 per set just isn't enough. 14 gauge wire is fantastic and will last for years. I highly recommend if you are going to bore it out to rent it or use a beveling machine. Another great option is to mount the brackets off the ground, which is good if you're running sideways at the edge of a forest, as you can use the 144 gauge cable. I also like the fact that you can adjust the range of the warning panel. I think this is it, a good buy that will keep you happy for years to come, yes a bit of hard work to bury it but when it's done you'll be in for a $2,000 savings!
