The body of the rack itself is quite well made, but it can suffer during transport. Mine arrived relatively intact, but there are a few spots where the painted metal has rubbed against the painted metal and some rust has formed (case comes fully assembled). The rack rails are NOT depth adjustable like some other models, and the distance from front rail to back rail is just over 16 1/4 inches. The distance from the track to the tailgate is 19 3/4 inches, so this is the LOWEST unit that can be installed. Yes, it has a set of rear rails so you can mount it backwards. Note that this is a 9U rack case, but the bottom opening is slightly blocked by the case's front edge. Depending on the size of what you are installing and where the connectors are located on the back, you may not be able to use the bottom hole. The side panels are a bit finicky when opening/closing, but they work well. A little epic with a back door that I think was damaged in transit. But I also use it on the floor instead of hanging it as intended (I put 4 casters on it). There are no openings or removable bars on the tailgate. Only two holes go through the holes at the top and two at the bottom (each hole is just under 4 inches wide and you have to bend the metal to access it). Natural air convection doesn't work very well and my case felt quite hot. Adding two case fans to the top vents (not included) solved the problem completely. Basically satisfied. Although, since it's in my living room, the cosmetic delivery issues are more of a nuisance to me than someone putting it in a closet.
