Review on DEWALT DWE46152 Surface Grinding Shroud by Chad Siofele

So I need to scrape the paint off my basement floor so I need a diamond grinding wheel, a good angle grinder and a feather duster. Of course, Dewalt offers everything. However, when these items arrive, the 4" diamond cup recommended for this angle grinder appears to be fairly flat, although I'm pretty sure it's the standard size. After a few manipulations, the dust cover is put on the angle grinder, but for some inexplicable reason it does not reach the last 1/4 inch of the tool. The end result is that the cup wheel is OVER the edge of the dust cover. The DEWALT dust cover is too deep for the DEWALT angle grinder and DEWALT diamond cup although it is advertised to fit all Dewalt angle grinders. Of course it is suitable, but not if you want to grind something with a diamond pot. On top of that, the stupid outlet on the dust cover doesn't fit a standard shop vacuum or probably some other vacuum hose. So to solve this problem I bought a Dewalt adapter. He doesn't "adapt" to anything. It fits into the case, but you have to cut the end of the vacuum cleaner hose and put it into the adapter. Absolute waste of time and money. I just stuck the hose from the vacuum cleaner into the case and sealed it with tape. A complete waste of money. So for the important part, getting this jig that cost me $200 with a part I can't even really grind anything with, SUCCESS it will actually grind the floor. HOWEVER, you must press the angle grinder down with both hands and your full body weight to get the wheel to touch it (you must use all your weight to press the wheel under the bristles and the edge of the sheath, otherwise this would result in that the wheel levitates almost a half inch off the ground. So I was able to grind about 10 square feet with EVERYTHING I can before I was completely exhausted from the effort. Not how this stupid thing is supposed to work I'm sure. Total waste of $75 I don't have much experience with Dewalt but I'm not keen on going back to them for other items Angle grinder works well but it's very heavy and difficult to manipulate Anything if you can Use all this physical exertion, otherwise the dust cover seems to work, it just doesn't fit the depth of the DEWALT 4.5 inch angle grinder and requires extreme effort ung to function. Smarter people and (smarter than me) will probably just give it back.
