Review on MRM Veggie Elite® Chocolate Mocha by Lan Rosales

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Don't be fooled by the conflicting advice in these reviews!

So you're reading product reviews and trying to figure out if this powder is gross or delicious. You are in a conflict. Some people say it's LITERALLY NOT DRINKABLE while others say it's THE BEST PROTEIN POWDER YOU'VE EVER TRIED. I came to this purchase with very, very low expectations. First, I hate mocha-flavored things. Second, I HATED Vega Sport Protein (Chocolate Flavored) because I found it had a beany texture and the texture and smell were disgusting (plus it started separating within 2 minutes of mixing. Terrible). I bought this powder because the whey protein powders really upset my stomach, although some of them are delicious. On top of that, I have to say this: this protein powder is bloody delicious. Holy mackerel. I was so surprised that I liked it, I honestly expected I'd have to add bananas, peanut butter, and soy milk to make it pallet-friendly. I tried cold water in a shaker. That's great! The taste of mocha is very subtle, while the taste of chocolate is really rich and creamy. It's quite sweet, but no sweeter than a milkshake. So if you're one of those reviewers who complain about how "unbearably sweet" it is, you have to understand that they're TRYING to make this taste like a delicious, creamy milkshake. And even when mixed with plain water, IT WORKS! The texture is great. It has some grit in it, but it's not uncomfortable or overwhelming at all. Tomorrow I'll try mixing it with soy milk and see how it tastes. If you're worried about which protein powder to buy, BUY THIS! Serious. It's cheap, tasty, and macros go great with whey protein powders. Do not be afraid! Take the plunge! You'll love it (and if not, mix it with a bunch of other crap until it tastes good and buy something else next time). After all, your taste buds are unique, so you have to try it to see if you like it or not.
