I bought this to protect my 42 inch Panasonic Plasma TV and it seems to work fine. You never know whether something like this will work, you only really know when it goes wrong. Pros: Reasonable price. Slim, efficient design. Ease of installation. Indicators confirm that the device is protected. I did not receive some channels I took this device out of the loop by connecting a coaxial cable directly and everything went back to normal. I think this device should degrade the coaxial signal as it passes through. In short: I bought this device because it was one of the cheapest options, so overall I'm happy with it. It does most of what I bought it for.
