The boot is not thick and not very well made compared to other skates I have used but for the price it does a great job of skating. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone who skates a lot and wants to learn cool tricks. The boots are very wrinkled and do not support my ankles. (I've used it before and noticed wrinkles) I think it won't last long. If you compare the construction of these skates to the Ridell, Impala or Moxie, you'll find that these boots have far fewer lace holes and start later. They will not protect your feet optimally.
