I bought these for summer hikes in Nevada in the heat and sunshine (95 degree sun) - they worked better than expected! I put them on after an hour of hiking so I wouldn't sunbathe too much, they really helped cool my body and also protect me from the sun. They were long enough to cover my entire arm (I'm a small to medium sized woman). The material is the same as a hose or stocking so it snags easily. I didn't go climbing that day but they can snap or get caught on rocks. BUT for the price it's worth it. Delivery was fast, well packaged (came in a cute little bag). I would buy them again.
