So I was excited when Nest finally launched the outdoor Nest Cam. Needless to say, I love the new Nest Cam outdoor camera, but my only complaint is that the crisp white color sticks out like a thumb. Nest mentioned you could paint the cable to match your home, but recommended NOT painting the camera itself. One of the reasons for not painting the camera is that you need a QR code on the back of the camera to activate the device. So I was happy to see that Wasserstein came up with these camo skins. I've already bought a home AC mount for Nest Cam from the same company, so I tried their skins as well. I know this silicone case is a simple product but it is well made with lots of small details. The package includes a small silicone ring that covers the Nest Cam's magnetic mount, a large piece of silicone that covers the camera itself, and a detailed manual. You need to insert the camera cable into the big skins hole and pull it up to the camera. You'll have to stretch the skin a bit to put it on the camera, but attaching the skin is fairly easy. There are several holes at the bottom of the skins that allow you to freely use the microphone and speaker. The leather fully covers the camera and seems to protect it well. If you plan on eventually reselling your Nest camera for outdoor use, these skins will help protect the camera's value, and so silicone skins essentially pay for themselves. Overall I am very happy with this purchase and would recommend the product.
