I had some old 3500K CFL light bulbs in my kitchen. One of the bulbs had burned out and the only thing I could find at Depot was a 3000K LED. I decided to convert all my lightbulbs to LED and buy here from Revain because I didn't want 3000K in my kitchen as I feel the color isn't pure enough. However, I was concerned about buying a 4000K as the 5000K bulbs are slightly blue and I don't want bulbs with a blue cast. My fears were unfounded. Bright white and clean, these bulbs use half the energy of CFLS bulbs. Another benefit of these new bulbs is that they hide the lighting hardware, unlike my CFLs. Everything is lighter as you can see in the before and after photos of my microwave. My husband likes them too and doesn't like to switch. I have posted my old lamp photos for comparison to the 4000K product shown in the photos. UPDATE: The light in my kitchen started flickering while using my new Keurig machine. It was embarrassing when my family stayed the night and the lights in the kitchen flickered while they made coffee. An electrician came to me because we have an old house, so I assumed it had something to do with our wiring. The electrician checked everything, opened it up and concluded that these bulbs are "sensitive". He said some LED bulbs will do this if some fixtures are used on the same power line. Since Keurig's lights just flickered and we didn't really like the coffee he made any better than our filter coffee, we left the light bulbs on. The lightbulbs did not flicker on any of our other kitchen appliances. Also the electrician commented how nice and bright our kitchen was. 2nd update: Seven months and a bulb has already blown. So much for 22 years
