Review on Highway Triumph Bonneville 2016 2020 DMT202 by Robert Norris

Fits well but expected a little heavier

Expected a little heavier. Not sure if it will survive a fall over 10-15km/h. I'm not sure if that's a good or bad thing either, but if you have the cash I might recommend a one-piece guard (where both sides are connected by a steel bar) for better load transfer. Other than that, it fits well, looks good, and inspires a little confidence in tricky low-speed maneuvers. Installation will require a 3" T55 chainring, a torque grip, 17mm and 14mm wrenches, a roll of duct tape and an hour of your time. According to the workshop manual, the screws should be tightened to 110 lbs. I use several layers of masking tape to cover any metal parts that might be touched by wrenches or a guard during installation.

Pros
  • Motorcycle & Powersport
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for seniors
