Fits well on 2002 Honda Civic (7th Gen)

I bought this because the steering wheel on my 2002 Honda Civic (7th Gen EX 4-Door) was badly worn. This case fits my steering wheel perfectly. The material is pleasantly soft leather, it lies comfortably in the hand and does not smell at all. The cover adds extra bulk to my handlebars (which is welcome). The stitching, while subtle, also helps position the arms properly and there are no loose or frayed ends anywhere. Overall, the material and build quality is fantastic. It took a bit of effort to get this cover on the steering wheel the way it should be. I was able to install it with no special handling or engineering on a cool, typical Seattle day. I simply set the cover where I wanted it starting at 6 o'clock and centered the single stitch on the leather at the 6 o'clock position. Then I worked my way up both sides, wrapping the handlebars until I could. I then used 4 fingers from each hand to stretch the remaining unassembled portions of the inside edge so it slides over the 12 o'clock portion of the wheel; Once this was done, I tightened each segment of the cap like a motorcycle throttle until it was perfectly centered. I had a hard time applying the right amount of force to this last part with the wheel pointing straight ahead, but I found rotating the wheel 180Β° (ie, upside down) helped a lot. The end result looked very nice. and professional, and fits perfectly. It doesn't slip on the steering wheel at all, even with fairly heavy or sharp steering effort. (Make sure you align it correctly so the stitching is symmetrical, otherwise you will have to disassemble and start over.) Note: New generation Civics (2005-) have smaller handlebars so it may not fit. also for these vehicles. I would suggest measuring the handlebars to make sure it will fit.

Cons
  • Infinitely Slow
