Review on FootJoy Spikeless Shoes White Medium Sports & Fitness by Scott Spoja

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Looks good but everything else is terrible

While this is an attractive shoe, it has no value as a golf shoe. I play 18 holes at least 3 times a week and wear a handicap of 5 so I feel I can rate golf shoes fairly. First, they have little to no arch support. Maybe this is good for people with flat feet, but if you have even moderate arches, your feet will hurt when you turn. The tongue of the boot is sewn to the side of the top of the boot. Again, when you have an arch it is extremely difficult to put your shoes on. Don't forget to check the position of the lacing on the picture. The odd loop instead of eyelets adds to the discomfort of this shoe. I found the shoes surprisingly hot, even in 60 degree weather. And if there's dew on the ground, you can bet your feet will get wet before you reach the first lawn. I've always trusted the FootJoy brand, but this shoe changed my mind. I ordered this shoe after searching for the most comfortable golf walking shoe and foolishly believing a clearly biased review I found on one of the millions of golf equipment review sites. This shoe isn't overly expensive, but considering its shortcomings, it's grossly overpriced. If you just want the FootJoy name and don't plan on using golf shoes or going for more than a short walk, you've come to the right place. Otherwise skip.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Not bad, but...
