Review on Machine Soothing Control Auto Off Sleeping by Krista Johnson

Got this 50% off night light for $15. I was drawn to it for the different color and brightness options, but mostly for the "Time to Rise" planning feature. I like that I can control it from my phone or with the buttons on the car. The scheduling feature seems solid and the noise suits me. It also has a child lock so children cannot use the buttons to operate it unsupervised. The disadvantages of this are: - It must remain connected. The connector looks more like a charging cable, but doesn't work when you unplug it. I don't mind leaving it plugged in, but I'd rather have the cord plugged in when I need to. - The colors are very bright (which is good, which is bad!). These are bright fun colors but for a night light. , I would like softer, more "relaxed" colors. I also have another adjustable night light/sound machine with an amber light function and I LOVE it. It's so relaxing and doesn't bother you in the middle of the night. The closest I can get is to set the color to yellow/orange. The buttons on the machine are like a touch screen. It's not a big deal, but it makes it difficult to find the buttons in the dark because you can't feel them. It's not that important either, but it should be noted: the time in the schedule setting application is eg "military time" (I think because of the country where the application was developed). Again, not a big deal, but something to think about if you're not used to it. I plan to use this as a sleep mode and "wake up" clock for my kids, as well as a night light. When I set the schedule, I can't set it to 8pm-6am and then 6am-7am because there is an overlap at 6am. So it should be set to 8pm to 5:59am. The entire machine (lights and sound) is then turned off for one minute before proceeding to the next scheduled setup. I've tried everything to avoid this, but I can't avoid it! When I bought this car, there were generally no reviews. I decided to jump in at $15 as it is very cheap for what it is. However, I don't think I would have bought it at the current price ($30) as the features I wanted could be greatly improved.
