Great product, not a very good installation. TERRIBLE INSTRUCTIONS

7/26/20 ANOTHER UPDATE: As much as I hate their google translate instructions, the product is too good not to tell people. I'm in Texas and it's hot today, but not hotter, maybe even cooler than the past few days. I was working on the back of mybHID PROJECTORS when I looked back and saw that it was putting out 487 watts. MY SOLAR PANEL IS ONLY 470. This thing produced over 100%. I ordered a WLAN and have to send it back. I'm starting to regret it. I hope it's just as good : UPDATE: Although I'm mad at them for not mentioning the special switches and wasting 2 days and a week later I still haven't installed them properly, this little fella puts in some serious effort , it was around noon today . It was hot in Dallas, Texas, but later that day I stopped paying attention to 319 watts. So be aware that this thing can put a lot of electricity into your solar system. Hope the video loads this time. Stars returned minus one for the statement. UPDATE: Will remove all stars when I can. Notjing with charging and everything with them and their google translate instructions. I know how to use tools and do things for myself, but I've never installed a solar or electric system, so I don't know much about it. If I had 5 years of writing classes I could certainly finish this. So I wasted 2 days of my life and tomorrow I will carry a load for 5-6 weeks without electricity. That was because they didn't think it was important to tell people the installation needed special circuit breakers, not the ones in a warehouse. I didn't know, nobody in the camp at home knew. Even the electrician who helped me didn't really know, he just told me they were always on the system. He didn't know I bought wrong. So if you're installing this yourself, order your circuit breakers online instead of buying them from Lowes or Home Depot. Much luck. If I hadn't read so many good things about this controller I would have sent it back tonight. The controller itself accumulates! 5 stars for the performance of the controller. And that's the good thing for me. Well, that's the main thing and I would still recommend this product, but they certainly haven't made it easy or cheap for us to get it installed properly when you have a 60 amo device. You see, I'm not an electrician, but it's very useful around the house. And I've been racking my brains on how to stretch 2 wires from a place where there is only a connector for 1 wire. 2 days in a home camp and they couldn't help or didn't know exactly how to route the wires as per the diagram. This morning after sitting in front of breakers for hours reading and watching all the break videos a guy comes over and grabs some breakers. I ask him if he knows anything about electricity. He knows exactly because he is an electrician. So I show him the diagram from the manual and ask. He tells me that the controller should have come with special breakers that can run 2 wires. He does every install with them because it's a special order and you can't find them. And they're pretty expensive. My Chinese friends like your product but you have to charge 50 bucks more or whatever and include everything you need to install as you recommend. Since I won't be paying twice as much for the switches as for the controller, I'll use a 100 amp two pole switch, but I'll use heavier gauge wire to compensate. So, I have 6 gauge copper wire and I'm going to install some fuses between the batteries, the controller and the solar panels.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • flimsy
